Martock Ski Race Club

Freestyle

Freestyle Registration will open later in the fall.

Overview

The MSRC Freestyle program is designed for those who want to dedicate themselves to the “park” while developing strong skiing. The program is centered around providing a safe and fun atmosphere with emphasis on individual progression. Learn to ski switch, slide rails, spin off jumps and air out of the pipe. It is not for beginner skiers. Individuals should have a strong skiing foundation.

Ages

The program is open to males and females 11 to 18 years of age as of December 31, 2020. Proof of birth date is required for all new members.

Lift Pass

Program fees do not include the cost of a lift pass. Lift passes are available directly from Ski Martock and can be purchased online at www.martock.com

Equipment

All athletes are required to come equipped for training with appropriate clothing for weather conditions as well as a CSA certified ski helmet and skis.  Our used equipment, ski swap fundraiser in late October is a great source for gear and friendly advice from members of the club.  Find the details on the Events page.

Alpine Ski Nova Scotia / Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA) (Mandatory Insurance)

All Freestyle skiers are subject to a team fee of $90 (paid directly to CFSA, not included in the MSRC program fees). *Individuals older than 16 who are interested in freestyle training, please inquire as there would be an additional Team / Canadian Freestyle Membership Fee. These fees are due before participating in any MSRC activity. This fee covers your competitor association with the club and your competitors’ license with the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA). It does not however provide for coaching services, lift access, equipment, clothing, camp or race related expenses. CFSA requires parents to register athletes individually.  MSRC will require proof of registration as stated above prior to any activity with the club.
