University / College Program

MSRC is committed to providing ski racing programs to University / College students as part of the Active for Life development stream of Alpine Canada's long term skier development plan (LTAD).  Recognizing that University and College students have widely varied schedules and training time, we recommend athletes contact the club to discuss training opportunities.

The program is open to active University / College students with previous alpine training and proof of enrollment in a post secondary institution.

Program Fee Options:

Wednesday Training at Martock (Jan 6, 2020 - March 24, 2020) 6 to 9 pm.  $360.00
Fall Conditioning:  Sundays at Martock (Oct 11th - Nov 29th) 10am to 12 pm;  Wednesdays (Oct 7th to Nov 25th) 6:00pm to 8:00 pm in Wolfville (Willow Park) or Halifax (Emera Oval)  $200.00

Racers will be encouraged to pursue training opportunities on a variety of terrain, and in ski courses, terrain parks and ski cross courses.  Opportunities to try GS, Slalom, and Ski Cross courses will allow athletes to maintain their skills in a fun atmosphere.

A schedule of races open to those interested athletes will be made available, however there is no obligation to compete.  The Wednesday training fee includes ACA Rec card.  Athletes wishing to compete will be required to purchase a National Card for an additional $75 fee.
